Is it just me or was Marc Jacobs lacking inspiration? I don't know, it's just an okay show. Any more clues or hints?

The Fashion Informer

Hey Marko,

He actually told me flat out that he "wasn't very inspired" this season, which I mentioned in my VOGUE.COM review, and which obviously came through in the collection. Here's a link if you'd like to read the whole thing.

Thanks. I saw a lack of enthusiasm, and the more I think about the collection, the less enthusiastic I am also. But that's okay, no problem. I mean, nothing really sticks in my mind. I wish it had more electricity, and I try to see the positive side some mentioned, but I can't. My mom said that she wore very similar Italian clothes in the early eighties, especially the low waisted coats, and wide pants with low heels. I just saw the show on video again, and saw the last spring/summer one - that everyone hated. Still, I was riveted once again. Some say that those S/S clothes look bad in the shops, dull - then how will these look? But sooner or later the magnetic clothes will be back.

Best,

The Fashion Informer

Hey Marko,I totally agree. But re: s/s, those clothes *just* hit the Marc stores at the end of last week, so I think the "dull" clothes everyone was talking about OTR are from the resort collection, not spring/summer.
