Scotland native Louise Gray burst onto the London fashion scene in 2007 with a colorful, quirky, hand-embroidered collection, and her witty and whimsical pieces have quickly gone on to garner and international cult following.
She collaborated with artist Judy Blame on a series of surprisingly chic trash-bag shoes for spring 2010, debuted a limited-edition collection for Smiley (makers of Happy Face items) and just released an eight-piece range for ASOS, most of which go for less than $100 - and she just announced a special project with a London retailer, to be unveiled later this summer.
The Fashion Informer's Lauren David Peden caught up with the fun-loving London-based designer (and avid Twitterer) after she presented her fall 2010 collection as part of the British Fashion Council showroom in the Soho Grand to discuss transport, textiles and the beauty of bold tresses.

I love the first two Eley Kishimoto collections, they stayed in my mind as a student: Big oversized ropes. And Jonathan Saunders graduation collection, and probably some Marimekko, too.
