The main fashion action may have shifted to Europe over the last few weeks, but here at home, several designers who didn't show on the official New York Fashion Week calendar previewed their collections to press and buyers in more intimate settings after the fact.
In the case of Shelly Steffee, that meant by-appointment walk-throughs of her Spring 2009 range, based on the idea of foundations (architectural, lingerie and even our skin tones), at her Meatpacking District store/studio.
